Now im just about to post my sold PC4000 RAM off. So I need some RAM to last me a few days. I have some PC2100 in my old dell, will this run on my MOBO? My FSB is clocked at 200mhz...So that will mean that the RAM will be running way over its rated speed.

And ideas?

I have a feeling it wouldn't.

I've heard only RAM thats faster will slow down to the desired speed, but not the other way round

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum nForce4 Ultra (Socket 939)

Looks like im without a computer then :(

I guess it'd be possible if the RAM was of good quality and your motherboard could handle it.

I wouldn't think they'd be any danger in testing to see, but I do doubt it.
Any other ways you can get RAM temporarily?

ya just try it and see wont hurt anything but if u cant just buy a cheapppp 512mb stick from a local comp store and that will do, its super cheap now the last time i got 512mb stick it was $50 canadian...

Thats cheap for something thats got to last maybe a month or so?...I don't think so :p
