Actually, is there a cheaper alternative to Sony Vegas that does those things?

Sony Vegas.

I don't like the way Premiere is setup. If you can make it work for you, then it's a powerful program, but to me it's not very efficient... Vegas is setup so much better.

I am the opposite of you guys. I like Premiere better. I was using the Sony Vegas trial and it confused me a bit. (probably because i bought premiere and was using it before i tried Vegas)

I tried Sony Vegas Pro v8 trial and it was missing a whole bunch of stuff, I mean the install is around 150MB; there were no 'Video FX' or 'Transitions' in their respective tabs, then again it was just a trial.

I'll check Adobe Premier out.

click FX click on the track, then click in the top right corner fx again and it brings all them up and select which ever ones you want to use.
