I go to win update all the time, my system is fully up-to-date with drivers and alike. Maybe it was just one of those things.

Power surger perhaps? Does anyone on here have surge protection? Do they work?

Oh, could be - I had surge protection once; butthe funny thing is that you don't know whether it works unless it doesn't - nothing else really matters or does anything in a surge. If it hasn't done it again then it probably is!
