ok now guys we dont need to get all hitech its only a mouse its a logitech mouse it has no ball on the bottom its got a little bright laser thats very blinding on the bottom. but the mouse was only 15 dollars at wal mart and for the price its very nice and comfortable

This doesn't sound like a laser mouse and yes one of my pet peeves is someone mistaking optical mice for laser mice.

If your Logitech mouse is not the MX1000 it is not a laser mice. Laser mice and optical mice are completely different. It can confuse people who you are asking for help here. The MX1000 can work on almost any surface. You don't need a leet mousepad if you have an optical or laser mice. Mousepads are really for old folks who used mousepads for years and therefore "feel" more comfortable with a mousepad or if you still use a trackball mouse.
