So I just tried to run 3dmark 03 and during the fourth test, the "nature" one, my card started artifacting like a madman. I just wanted to find a good temperature monitoring program to see if that might be the issue. Also for drivers, should i get them from the nvidia website, or the manufacturer's?

You should try RivaTuner. It has a hardware monitor that you can set to record while doing things like benchmarking.

The NVIDIA forceware is built-in with a temperature monitor. Just right click your windows and properties and go to your 6600GT tab.

Yes, but Rivatuner creates a graph so you can look back on it after running the test to see what your max load temp was. The temps drop off quick after the test or game is stopped.

Those are very old. Go to the nVidia site and update them.
