My Fraps Video...

yeah i just finished makin my skimboarding video in vegas 7 ill post it later, its a huggee file, and its only like 6 or 7 mins, but its a gig ! anyone know how to get the file size down?

haha i like skimboarding, i havent done it in forever, I gota do that when i got to the beach this summer!

try using codecs (Xvid or Dvix, what ever that one is)

yea! how come fraps makes video so damn large! my video total was almost 4 minutes and it was 8+GB's in a total of 3 files. wtf?!?!?!?!?!!??

because it doesnt encode to anything. just uncompressed AVI's.

1. try recording in half size. its in the fraps settings
2. recompress the video with divx or watever

I use VideoDub if i want to compress my Fraps videos, works great on the right settings....

Yeah, and if it did encode it to make the file smaller, i can guarantee your game, when recording would not run very smoothly at all..think about when your encoding, say a DVD, the amount of resources it uses, now add that, to the amount the game uses and unless u got Gatesy's computer, i think it would struggle...
