I had to convert them to Australian moneys because that's where i live.

besides getting 8GBs of RAM when 4 would probably be enough and not getting a top of the line psu for the exact same $$ you'll spend on the TTP I don't see anything wrong with it...

my only suggestion would be this Corsair or this Antec psu if you want to spend a little more, and if you want to spend a little less and still get a good psu, this 1KW OCZ ProXStream was only $70 shipped for me (23507 zip code)...

Id think buying a 5870 would be better choice then a 295 for price to performance, and power requirements to.

The HD 5870 has better price vs performance, and just plain ol' better performance than the GTX 295.

As for being convinced not to buy 8GB RAM, if you're spending $3000 on a computer, I'd go with 8GB anyway. People say you'll never need more than 4GB but before I upgraded from 4GB to 8GB I was hitting 100% RAM usage quite a bit. If it's in the budget, go for it imo.

You'll save like $150 getting an HD 5870 over a GTX 295, use that money on 4GB more RAM imo.

Lower price, lower power consumption, lower temperatures, higher performance, DX11 support... No reason not to get the HD 5870.

As for the Phenom II X4 965 b.e.... All it is is a Phenom II X4 955 b.e. overclocked... Just get the 955 and overclock it yourself it is literally the exact same CPU.

why dont you want to consider intel? i would go for the phenom II 955 and buy a good CPU cooler and then overclock it. you could easily get it to run faster than the 965 and you would save some money. i would also pick some RAM with better timings. any of these will work: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...52528354 1052429371&name=DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

EDIT: FOOK. I'm an idiot. I thought you mean an i7 965.

Still, I'm going to keep this picture here.
