!!! My CPU doesn't fit into my MoBo!

I'm using a Intel i5 2500k CPU, and when I install it into my (definitely compatible) mobo, it requires force to push it down... which is not a good thing...
Everything is lined up, the little golden triangle is in the right place...

Any advice?
Please help!

Well, actually, the cover won't close even without the cpu in... So, now what?
