MSpaint

Im new to this forum and not that great at computers .Heres my question,when I save a picture off the internet or whatever ,I try to open it in paint and it says that this is not a valid bitmap file ,or this file is not supported.How would I change it so MSpaint supports more than bitmap files.
Also if this topic has been covered before ,please direct me too it.

edit: oh and I'm not really sure, try googling for some program that can do it.

no,its not. and how would a program be able to to that.

Because it changes the format of the picture from whatever it is to the thing you want. Oh and sorry about the daniel thing, you just had the same name as an old friend of mine's sn on aim.
