MSN hang-up when going to mail

I have MSN and i can sign in just fine most of the times. When I click on mail it just freezes. I tried reinstalling MSN but the program was still there. The only way to access my mail now is to go to IE, go to msn.com and sign in from there. That takes so much longer than just signing in to MSN and clicking on mail on the toolbar. Any suggestions?

use MSN.help
go to contact msn in the msn messenger area
and if there is an error code.. type it in
if there isn't describe the problem
and technical staff will help u

uninstall msn completely from the add/remove programs in the control panel, then try reinstalling it
