movie back up problem

i bought a new movie today (the fog) and the first thing i usually do it back it up and for that i use dvd shrink so i tried it but it didnt work, i have the latest version of dvd shrink so is there some new copy protection? or is it just coinsidence? and can u recommend some other way to back it up

you need any dvd running in the background to backup usually. otherwise it would not work with the federal protection and all.

i had problems in the past where i encoutered a new dvd that all of a sudden would not backup. easily fixable. just keep the dvd drive drivers all up to date and have the latest version of any dvd to 'keep up' with the new protections.
