Is it normal for most motherboards to have intergrated sound and graphics, I need a mobo that doesnt have these features because my current one just likes to overule any aditional hardware.
Ta, Andy

It all comes to cost and affordability with integrated motherboards. There are tons of motherboards that don't have the integrated features too. Most mid range to high end PCs don't use integrated video and sound. Only the budget PCs.

@setishock - a crap sis one which i dont no the name of.

@TRDCorolla - Well what kind of price would I be looking at for a motherboard with no intergrated features?

You're looking anywhere from $40-$240 for an Intel compatible motherboard without integrated video. Depend on how much money you want to spend on upgrading your motherboard. I like to spend around the $100 range or more if you are a gamer, work on video editing, pictures, audio compiling/mixing, photoshop, AutoCAD, etc. If all you plan on doing is watching DVD, using a word processor, go onto the Internet and play light games, then any motherboard will do.
