Motherboard Upgrade

OMG, that Asus one is definitely better than what you have now. Look at the bus transfer rates. Wow, much improved to go along with faster memory support. I didn't realize Phenom supporte motherboards were that cheap in price.
 
I'd say that Asus is a nice step up from your current Biostar. Better performing chipset, more advanced options, it should work well for you. Not a bad price either.
 
From the sounds of it it sounds like it would be worth it.

the bus speed will only be that high if my CPU supports it, which it doesnt as its only an X2.

there is a 2 more at this price range
 
At least it gives you room for future upgrades. Although, I'll be looking at Intel motherboards for myself. That motherboard supports 8GB of RAM. I don't think we'll ever be able to use that full potential for along while.
