motherboard mounting

my mootherboard came with 10 mounting places but my case came with 6 screws do all of the holes have to be used for grounding purposuse or is it ok to only use 6 of them

Ya 6 is plenty. I use 6 in my current rig. In my older rig i only used 4 lol.

Your case likely supports more than one form factor of motherboars... perhaps ATX & BTX... Each has different mounting holes (some may be shared, but this is why your motherboard has less mounting places than the chassis of the tower. MAKE SURE that you DO NOT put the brass standoff's in the mounting holes that won't be used... you could short out the Motherboard through the chassis.
