My friend d/ed service pack 2 and a virus scan program onto my computer yesterday. He left before it ended but when it did it brought up the window saying "to finish this operation you must restart your computer.........." I clicked yes for it to restart and now everytime it gets to the point where xp is about to start up the monitor light changes from green to yellow but it sounds like the cpu is still doing stuff. I've done a non-safe system restore to return it to it's manufactured state but it does the same thing if I restart it at all. The only reason I can type this is because right after I do the system recovery it works until I restart it. Any help would be appreciated.
