But I just think that there needs to be a certain amount of mods from each corner of the world cos ive been on a lot of times where there arent any on.

very true, another "light on" on the other side of the world would be a plus.
although, just because a member or mod doesn't show up in the list doesn't mean that he/she isn't on...

Yes I forgot about that you can choose not to be shown. But obviously there wasnt anyone on at that time to stop him.
