Mobo failing

Yes I did flash the BIOS.

Since I've been getting the BSOD, I have updated the video card driver at least 2 times and I still get the error.

I really think it's something more fundamental. Either my entire computer is falling apart a few months after I built it from brand new parts or my mobo or PSU is failing. Either of these, from my understanding, could explain everything that is going wrong. Please correct me if that's not the case.

The board could be the problem if it's not the supply. Every so often a few bad boards get out. A weak cap or eprom biios chip will cause headaches before something gives out.

The one thing to keep track of however is any specific information seen when a blue screen comes up on you as well as looking over the event viewer logs to see if this is software or hardware related. Sometimes a look at the EV logs will point out one software company.

I'm going to try a new power supply but right now one of my DVD drives is not being recognized by the system. The log shows over and over The device is not ready for access yet (Event ID 15) for this DVD drive and if I try to open the drive, it works fine so it seems to be getting power. I also got an error that said, "The device 'TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S223F ATA Device' (IDE\CdRomTSSTcorp_CDDVDW_SH-S223F________________SB00____\5&ee58156&0&0.1.0) disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal (Event ID 12)." And finally, another error stating "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\CdRom0 (Event ID 11)."

Sorry this is so much info but I figure too much is better than not enough. Given the error stating that the driver detected a controller error, that makes me think more about it being the mobo. I really appreciate all your help with this.

EDIT: Looked up these events and it looks like they're pretty much exactly what they say they are. Does a PSU ever start failing randomly (random times when it doesn't work for a microsecond then comes back on)?
