The future of web design trend is surely designing for mobile community as more and more netizens are accessing through the mobile sites. So the next big thing is designing for mobile sites. so the future of web design trends seems to be the mobile sites.

Because more and more people are using phones now? I think designing a mobile site would be more plain text/plugin. It doesn't seem that hard to do, but I've never done it before.

I disagree. It doesn't seem like a particularly huge thing to me anyway - just creating cut down versions of a site for a mobile device?

It's very difficult to judge these things, but in my mind there will be 2 possible changes that could be described as such:

- HTML 5 will take off and we'll start to see flash slowly die from large parts of the web that use it at the moment.
- We'll start to see a lot more dynamic GWT / widget based web applications rather than just static sites.
