I hate the fact that windows almost forces you to do windows updates from their default (internet explorer)

but the fact is you can do windows update from any browser:
bookmark this link, and do windows updates antime u need them.

yeah, the top is the most uptodate: ver 4 or ver 5 ...your choice

Thats the SP1 Windows Update - SP2 uses Version 5.

Even SP1 uses Version 5 now I think. Version 4 has been thrown to one side.
