Microsoft & Apple Co-Founders offer curious insights

I have always felt as you do. If something is working well for you, there is no need for change, just for the sake of change.

However, I'm sure you recognize that the days of 32bit apps, and software that will run on Xp, are surely numbered. At some point, you just won't be able to hold onto it any longer.

I'm not sure where your'e going with this? Windows 7 primarily shipped in 32 bit versions and Windows XP and 7 both have 64 bit options.

They are stopping support in Feb 2014 or sometime in early 2014 for XP

Yes, my understanding is Q4 2013, or Q1 2014.

Hey, to each his own, it's all good. All I'm saying is, you can only hold onto the past for so long. I don't want to get into an argument over something this silly. To each his own.

Don't bet on it......
People forget XP was & still is a successful OS....plenty of life in a lot of 32 bit apps/software.

You would be surprised how many old 32 bit software are running and will run in the future.
indeed.
I currently run 64bit windows 7. all my 32 bit apps are perfectly fine.

I did however rue the loss of my 16 bit apps.
