what does it mean speed ratings of 1647 MB/s

i got 1 gig ram and it also says

i got 1024mb ram and windows is reporting 1023 is avaliable

Thanks

Not sure what you mean by "speed ratings of 1647MB/s". I think that is something to do with the memory's bandwidth and how fast it either reads or writes information.

1GB = 1024MB

yea the little 1mb of ram is probably getting used for the bios or something like that, not a big deal

and the "speed ratings of 1647MB/s" are exactly what atomic said, its how fast your memory can read/write information

it also said that it shud be running at something like 6000MB/s

i got a AMD 3500+ with 1 gig PC3200 DDR ram

do u think my graphics card is taking away some memory

if you have dedicated pci graphics it will not take away from system memory, if you have agp it may take a little away

for memory, idk what it should run at,
