I would create a family trust that would provide for my family and future generations. A trust would help reduce inheritance tax as well as protect the beneficiaries from loss due to lawsuit. Plus, I personally think that too much of a good thing can be bad. $10,000,000.00 over a lifetime per person should be enough for anyone to live very comfortably, and with a little investment knowledge that number could be made to grow much bigger. Assuming the trust was invested properly (yes, this is a catch) it should continue to grow while still providing for future decendants.

10 million over 50 years comes to $200,000.00 a year for 50 years (before taxes.) That would give a lot of family members a decent head start.
