Hello. This is usually one of the most irritating issues that I have.

Some web sites I go to want you to download various media players. I already have those I need.

Whenever I try to do so...I can not tell whether I am successful or not..or it takes forever..ie. non-senseable dialog boxes.

What do people figure is the real issue?

Thanks
SC

Sounds like some form of spyware or virus. I'd steer clear.

Whatever you're doing, it sounds wrong. PP is right.

All you need is Flash installed and a modern browser with HTML5 and videos should play on 99.9% of sights. The last 0.1% of sites will use Microsoft's Silverlight, which you can install too. Oh and Apples site wants you to have Quicktime, because they refuse to use a competitors product even though it is ubiquitous.

You should not be getting lots of dodgy prompts and installation issues.
