Math question (simple)

What makes the following equation:

1+1=2

so special?

Im getting really geeky here...
And I assume this thread was written purely with the intent for a little bit of light sarcasm.....

BUT....

Is it special because its the only equation, where you have the addition of two numbers, which are both Odd and/or Prime, and the sum of both numbers equals an even number..?

Now tell me, am I wrong? Am I sad? Am I looking into it too deeply? Am I all 3?

Actually, adding any two primes (outside the number 2) will result in an even number. Technically, the number 1 isn't considered a prime number.

You know when you go into a train of thought, and go off on one?

I thought about that 2-3 times and thought of a few possibilities, and thought to myself, 'seems it works'

Now I am reading back what I've put - and even I have no idea. I wont bother deleting my post, ill let myself bask in my stupidness!

Maybe I was thinking, forget about the prime bit, that its the equation where the addition of 2 odd numbers, will result in an even number? That works?

Any two odd numbers add to give an even number!

Even + Even = Even
Odd + Even = Odd
Even + Odd = Odd
Odd + Odd = Even

OK OK!

Maybe it's the only 2 whole, positive numbers, that when added together make 2!

Seriously, my brain is so messed up today. I need to get back home and on my PS3 for a long 'cleansing session'..

I'm not honestly normally this stupid..... honest.
