Macbook Pro and Monitor

I've recently spoken to someone about them getting a Macbook Pro - The 13.3 inch version. They want to be able to use it with a bigger screen, and I'm wondering if by using THIS:http://store.apple.com/uk/product/MB572Z/A and http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155601 she will be able to do so.

What do you reccon?

Yes that will work. Just remember to tell her that she won't get sound.

She wont mind about that, since the monitor has no speakers. Audio will still work via the 3.5mm jack, yeah?

That's actually kind of funny, we were just dealing with that over here, I work in the IT department at a University. We had a converter like that, but it was ... a demon adapter It was DVI, but without the four pins around the long one... so a DVI to VGA adapter didn't work... but the oposite end of a dvi cable worked... I'm going to see if we can buy a few of these... thanks for posting that link
