lost access to my yahhoo mail

yahoo mail feels like they have the upper hand in the market and looks like they are pushing hard to get people to use their premium services.
i had my recovery mail as another yahoo account.
lost access to that account and it was deleted eventually
i forgot about it until recently where i need to log into it on my new phone and new pc but now my login page is attempting to send recovery email to my old nonexistent account
and will not let me login
and their customer service is locked behind the paywall
i only have access to my emails through android email app on my old phone and cant even login to it on that phone through browser
i am considering setting up an email server on my pc since it is on all the time or i can have a tiny pc set up as an email server at home probably for very cheap price.
trying to get some pros and cons of local email server or maybe getting another online email service that is better than yahoo where i can transfer all my accounts to

Sorry buddy, Wish I had something to tell you here but I've never done any custom email or email server setups. Have you searched youtube for suggestions/guides? general internet search for guides/suggestions?

yea i found some reddit posts describing the life of private server email users and decided to just make proton mail account

OK, deleted and let it be deleted. After a certain period of time (don't remember was it half year or year or something similar), you can open a new account with the same username, phone number, etc., and if the account with that username was previously marked as your identity verification account/email, then after reopening it, it will still be your verification account and you will have access to the new, newly opened account. What's the question?
Then You have only lost Your old emails and that's all what You have lost. And after You have done so, You can change or add what ever other emails or phone numbers for identification.
But unless you're a computer fanatic, you won't be running your own server never, it requires too much work and knowledge.

it worked. it kept the record of it being in use but i was able to recover it with my current email. ( this seems hella stupid) to have 2 emails linked to eachother just to be able to verify each one of them. what a stupid fn feature.
but yea its been about 5 years since my old email was locked and it works now

do you think it would work like that when a gmail account gets locked due to age restriction?
my kids email got locked becuase he added his age on youtube one time and now he cant recover his fortnite account with alot of money spent on skind that was linked to the gmail they want me to add my phone number and i really dont want to link everything to evrything.

As long as we or I don't know what exactly happened and what the situation really is, it's impossible to say or guess mostly anything. But basically, locking and deleting are two different things.
If the account has been deleted due to inactivity, then yes, you can reopen it after a certain period of time, but if it's locked or blacklisted, then probably not.

Try logging in first. If it doesn't work, you'll get a message explaining why it didn't work. If you get a message that the password was incorrect or the username is incorrect, try the "Forgot password" option, then you'll find out if such a user exists and if so, you can change the password and that's it. However, if you get a message that such a user was not found, you can create a new account with the same username.
