My current laptop has recently broken down; it will no longer start up. It is an HP Pavilion DV 6700 notebook. At the moment, it is at my schools computer repair department waiting to have a diagnostic performed on it. If the problem is determined to be the motherboard, I am simply going to buy a new laptop. I have heard that issues involving motherboard failures are common with this particular model.
Anyhow, at the moment I am looking at other notebooks and have come across a notebook by Gateway which is featured on the page of the following link: http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668354.php
What do you guys think of it? Is it too cheap? Do you think it is poorly made?
However, I have a few questions. Does Gateway make decent/good laptops? Are there any other computer manufacturers that you'd recommend? If so, what are they?
