has anyone here actually tried longhorn? or have you just got the beta's and havn't got round to installing them yet?

I have tried to Alpha FX had; it works but its not very stable and I can't get onto the Internet on it so its not much use at all. Nice though. You have to wait for a Beta to make any kind of idea about what its going to be like though. Even then; they can change dramatically in a year.
I gave up on my quest for it after getting the message "you must disable your file protection" and seeing a note by the person distributing it that "system crashes weren't his fault"...I decided XP was working just fine for now, new icons and screenshots just werent that important to me.
