I thought that was pretty good actually. I should probably say something good about Nvidia or else I'll sound like a fanboy, but they haven't really needed to release a new architecture. And RV770 is actually based off R600, just like GT200 is based on G92 I suppose.

Of course they are also guilty of this:

I think the HD 4770 will be a pretty amazing card if it really does come out at <$99.

If its $150 or less, and the benches are good, then its going to be my next card. :D

might be my next choice for a crossfire setup... hopefully those 640 stream processors do well in benchmarks

If I get a new setup in a few months, this will be my new card(s) if they bench well.

Bump, it's out and looking pretty awesome.

40nm
GDDR5 <- Memory overclocks to HD 4870 speeds and further.
80W TDP
128bit (the GDDR5 makes up for the bandwidth)
Looks like the HD 3870's dual slot cooler. Yay!

Guru3D didn't test it against the 9800GT for some reason, which is pretty pointless.
PcPer
Xbit Labs this is probably the best review.

EDIT: Oh wait, no HD 3870 coolers, just lots of non-reference ones. Newegg. <- Starting off at $109 but should drop to sub $100 soon.

  1. And how do I do a strike through?
