about a week ago i purchased the logitech g15 keyboard and really like it. im not liking how it looks/feels with an old white gateway mouse. i was looking at the logitech g5. i dont want the g7 because it seems the only difference is wireless and i dont need that. i dont really like how the mx518 looks. i guess its a lack of buttons Lol.

i just want to know if anyoen has experience with the g5 and if so tell me about it.

The g5 would probably be very comfortable on the hand. Plus you have many more programmable buttons to, to act as maybe play/next buttons for media control if you could program them for that.

I do see some plusses for getting wireless though. My mate has wireless, and the batteries last a very long time. Its good to know the keyboard/mouse can be placed anywhere and still be used, but with people with desks, etc, with them in fixed places, there probably is no point.

Plus your paying about $20 extra, just for the wiress in the case that its the same... so yeah.

I have a cheap £15 mouse, and it suits me, but the feel would never be as good as with a proper full on one, meant for comfort, etc.

i just got home with the g5. installed it and love it! for some reason i just cant see the MX518 and my G15 together. it was real easy to get the cord for my g5 in the trenches in the g15. i highly, highly reccomend both these items to any gamer.

Who needs 2000dpi? My MX518 has 1600dpi maximum and it's already good enough.

"Dots Per Inch/Pixels Per Inch. The resolution of an image or how many pixels are defined in the boundary of a square inch. The more correct term is pixels per inch, however dots per inch is often used instead."

So basically, I think the higher it is, the more precision and accuracy you have.
