Little bit of Help..

I know this shouldn't be posted in the OT fourm... but this form seems to get the most traffic.

I just found out i had a worm called P2P-Worm.win32.Vb.dw.

My anti-virus software has deleted it. However the worm was hidden in an folder called "outlook" to mimic the forlder "Outlook Express" in my program files.

I cannot see this folder, and it is not hidden, but i can however type in the address bar C:\Program files\outlook and i can open it.

Is there anyway i can delete this folder?

Any help in solving this pest problem would be appreciated, and does anyone know any online scans i can use to totally make sure i have gotten rid of this pest?

This is like the Universal answer to all technical problems related to a computer.

format C: /fs:ntfs


It never fails. Ever.

Usually the best way to handle a comprimised computer. Is to just format and try it all over again..

The best method of antivirus management is not detection and removal.. It is better to be in a PREVENTION method.


I would personally format/reinstall after your computer was attacked with that worm
