Hi, new to forum, bit long, sorry, i have a samsung M40 17" laptop, i have tried to install linux onto it, the first time it crashed and deleted windows after i partitoned the HD, which i have re-installed and got working, i tried to install linux again today and i got the following error message:
Kernel panic: no init found. try passing init= to kernel
I dont know what to do as i have never had linux running on this machine. thanks for any help that anyone can give me. i really would like to switch to linux, everyone that i have spoken to about it says it is soo much than microsoft, id really like to give it a go.
Another question, would the wireless internet work on linux? and also would i be able to get all my word documents onto the linux office?
thanks for any help
