ok, i dont think you are understanding. i only used up 1 gb of space besides the os files. and no, no viruses. i scanned and came up blank

did you upgrade ram recently?
that may be conflicting

no i didnt upgrade my ram it is 2 gb so its fine
anyway.. i wiped the hard drive clean and reinstalled the os and lots of programs. it works now and now i kno its the bunch of unnedded software dell instals
