1. Both have the same GPU but the Acer's specs say that on top of the dedicated 512, there is up to 2gig shared video memory and the Toshiba does not. Why is this, which is better?
2. How much of a difference will I notice between the Toshiba's 2.2ghz duel core with 2mb cache vs the Acer's 2.0ghz duel with 1mb
3. I believe the Toshiba only has 32bit windows, so upgrading from 3gigs of ram to 4 wouldn't be doable yes?
4. Ultimately which is better for gaming?

I ultimately decided on the Acer, it was about $40 cheaper(the toshiba was free S&H), and I figured the difference in ram would compensate for the slower processor. I do plan on doing some gaming with it and I wanted to get the most bang for my buck in that department (yes I KNOW desktops are better but I'm set on a laptop) they both seem to be excellent buys but I wanted to get a second opinion. Thanks.

im not a big fan of toshibas any more, and the acers processor is still ok (although id only choose a C2D processor at the end of the day), so id go with that.

They are mostly the same exept for processor(2.0ghz vs 2.2ghz, ram (3gb vs 4gb), OS (Vista Home Premium 32-bit vs 64-bit) and screen size (15.4in vs 16in).

I'd go for the Acer though, it has more ram, bigger screen and a 64-bit OS.

The Acer also includes a 5.1 surround sound card and a webcam. It has way more bells and whistles, which sold it for me.
