Laptop USB Drivers

Seems that it's only in Windows that the USB ports don't respond.

Since you installed from a disk, are you sure the USB ports work in the first place?

Yes I retrieve the laptop to assign it to another user

You have two options here.

Either burn the manufactures drivers onto a separate CD and put this in the same CD drive you used to install Windows (I assume this works.)

Or burn a new CD that contains the drivers that you need on the install CD.
