LAPTOP problem

I have an laptop (IBM thinpad), basically i had problems with the hard-disk and then i have changed it and since it's been change the laptop doesn't pick up the new hard-disk. it will not let me in the fdisk or partition magic. please i need help

how can you say it doesnt pick it up, then go on about fdisk and partition magic...lol :S ? You obviously havent installed it correctly.

i meant it does let me do nothing! i have installed the hard-disk correcty... but still nothing happing.. evry time i try to boot the laptop in to partition magic it's say the disk has not be recognise...

Are you sure the connections are snug, put in right, that the Hard Drive has not failed?
