laptop monitor

It's a cool idea, though. I've got a few spare laptop screens. Hey, take this scenario: I've got a laptop screen, and a LCD desktop monitor about the same size. The LCD is shot on the monitor. So, my question is, Can I put the laptop LCD in the monitor using the monitor's existing wiring and circuitry?
(Sorry to use this thread-I was in a hurry and forgot the rule)

Highly doubt it. Have to find pinouts for each and possible wire an adapter (if it is even possible at all).

i was wondering if i just cut both ends off and try and wire them together and see what would happen

well im going to try and figure something out

Don't waste your time. There is a complex circuit that is necessary for the computer to even detect the panel. Without that, there would be no way to enable it. It also converts the picture into something usable by the monitor. There is really nothing you can do here. :(
