Laptop CPU upgrade

I recently purchased a Dell inspiron 1525,and I was looking to upgrage to cpu. It already has 3gigs of RAM and I'm looking for a little bit more speed for gaming. I know this laptop probably wasn't the smartest choice for gaming but Im trying to work with what I got.

So here's my question, would a Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T7400 Dual Core Processor be compatible with the Dell inspiron 1525? I'm also wondering if heat would be an issue due to the fact that it is a big upgrade from a 1.73GHz cpu I currently have.

I'm a bit on a noob when It comes to this stuff so be gentle.

yeah that would work but the heat could be a problem but not much. going from 1.73 to 2.16GHz its gonna create more heat. just dont have it on like a bed or carpet or on your lap without one of those cooler pads
