I have a kv7 motherboard with Athlon 1800+. I only had 256mb ram so i bought a 512mb piece. the ram is DDR 266 since the older one was 266. When i install the two ram the computer halt at the begining of memory testing .. it recognize 700mb ram but does not load.
Sometimes the pc loads but only recignise 512mb of ram?
What is the problem aren't the ram the same ?
any suggestions pls?
