Keyboard problem

hi Guys,
I just bought myself a BELKIN cordless multimedia keyboard and mouse after years of tangled cords. I installed it as per the instruction book. The basic keyboard functions are working ok but for the life of me I can't get the multimedia keys to work. I have a HP Pavilion running Win XP sp2. I have installed and uninstalled a few times but nothing. I don't think it's faulty because the basics are working. Any suggestions?

what have you installed and uninstalled a few times ? xp or the kb ?
like for an OEM special typr kb from say Dell, drivers have to be loaded, the wireless may be different.

It is the keyboard that I have installed and reinstalled. I have even uninstalled all the keyboard and mouse references and let XP discover the USB package. It just installs as a generic keyboard using the XP drivers not the Belkin ones.

I have just received a reply from Belkin tech dept. They said that the hot keys should work straight out of the box and this one is possibly faulty. I will be returning it to where I bought it.
Thanks for your help, guys.
