alright well the video wasnt working on my aptiva what happened was the jumper that allowed the video to work was unplugged but know the keyboard doesnt work, like it turns on but no buttons work

A little more info would be helpful. If the only thing that's wrong is that when the video works the Keyboard doesn't work, buy a PS/2->USB adapter and plug your keyboard into the USB board, or better yet buy a USB keyboard for ten bucks.

Viola, problem solved.

so what happened was i unplugged the jumper (by accident) that allowed any video to appear on the monitor. now while the video wasnt working the keyboard was, now that the video is working again the keyboard doesnt. when you turn the computer on the 3 lights on the keyboard turn on then off quick sometimes the Num Lock will stay solid. When you push any putton like F1 to go into the BIOS it wont allow. so no buttongs work. when you turn the computer on with out the keyboard connected you get a message saying that the PS/2 Keyboard is not connected
