I thought it was an interesting concept, why is the Northpole at the "top" of the globe / map?

In the grand scheme of things there isn't really an up or a down / top or bottom in the sense that we think of it.

It's like holding a football (soccer ball) and trying to establish what part of it is the top and what part the bottom.

I know what's wrong with that picture.

It has a bar code on it, and the world is not for sale...:lol:
 
There's nothing wrong with it but the standard map convention is for North to be at the top of the map. Typically, an indicator (usually some type of arrow) is provided to show which direction is North. Since this map doesn't use the convention of North at the top, it really should include the arrow indicating North.
