Trotter is right temp work if your good enough will get you a much better job, a friend of mine Andy started as a Christmas temp 3 years ago an he is now the head of a large distribution department for my store he is earning £20 a hour plus a 50% bonus every 3 months.

That's some truth, there. Take whatever job you can get quickly and do that while you're searching for your next "real job." I went through two temporary jobs after I got laid off and this place I'm at now is where I'll likely stay for quite some time. Working somewhere, anywhere, is a lot better for you and more respectable than not working at all.
