just 1 quick question!

do dvd roms need drivers?? i have a pioneer DVR-111D and when i try to install oblivion it wont work. so i go into my computer and double click on the drive that has oblivion in it to run the set up, there is a message that pops up saying "This is not a valid win32 application".
and i cant even play original dvd movies.

Has it ever worked before?
Yes they Need drivers and Sometimes software to operate, goto the manufactures website and download the newest driver.

Alternativly you could go to device manager and see if there is a problem with the drive.

no the drive is new so i'm trying to figure out, i heard that some roms dont need drivers but that sounds kinda odd to me.

Well if it is new Did you use the CD/Floppy that came with it.?

Hrmm Ok, then Goto the Manufactures Website Like I Suggested and locate the appropriate Driver for it.

at the pioneer website theres no section for drivers or anything computer related. do they have a different website for that stuff.

thanks for the link, but they dont have my rom listed on there. its a dvr-111d. they have dvr-310 but nothing lower than that
