Is this graphics card any good?

I just got as pc with a nvidia geforce 6600le. Is it good?

So far I've found it's struggling with halo, and I can't really see a difference in gta3 when I was using a geforce2 mx.

Will it at least play half-life 2 at high settings?

512mb RAM

Could be the RAM, erm..I dont think the video card would struggle with that though, how much space have you left on yr HDD, might have something to do with lack of space on yr HDD, are you in a position to reformat? A good old spring clean will defo fix it.

Right, im just reformatting a pc now, quite good specs with a card lower than that, ill put the game on and see what happens. Ill let you know. the specs for the pc are i think

The Ram is 256, don't know what manufacturer.

Hey guys, sorry I've been away.

Just formatted the whole computer and reinstalled all the drivers and guess what? The card works like a charm.

The guy in the shop must have installed it wrong or something

Just one question, what would be the cheapest graphics card that would play doom 3 on high settings?

I have Doom3 and played it with a 6600GT just fine on high settings.

The 6600 LE is basically a underclocked 6600 GT. It uses the same NV43 core.

so will it play doom 3 and half life 2 on high settings? If not will overclocking help?
