you can tell what websites have been visted on your pc even if they have been deleted in your IE history? if so how?

if you delete your history and cache it's pretty hard to find out what you've been looking at... don't worry - your dad won't find out you've been looking at porn when he's been away ;)

You have to delete temp. internet files too.

<edit> this is the second thread today about avoiding parents catching you looking at porn, lol.(if your not looking at porn sorry, but we all do one time or another, lol.)

Oh my goodness gracious! My dainty little ears! What do I hear about their being adultery publically broadcasted on the internet?! And it's the number one online business? Thats a shock to me!

If you use firefox I beleive you can even (if you want, as oppose to clearing all of the history), you can tell it not to record what webpages your going to at all. That way you can turn it on and off, usefull if you don't want to lose all history of what sites you've been too, rather just have a few naughty sites not recorded ;)

^^ that way is better because when you clear history it's kinda obvious that you are hiding something.

Actually if someone wanted to see where you have been they could look in the index.dat files. They are a history of every where you have been. Couple programs to delete them as you can't delete them in windows. Spiderbite seems to be the favorite or windowwasher I believe has that option.

There are about 40 different areas that store information about where you have been and what you have been doing within xp. They are variuos "history", "temp" "dat" and "mru" files and are located all over the place.
Spider is about the best that I have used to remove and also speed up the system. But be warned that it will also remove stored passwords and hidden url's also
