is Napster safe?

I have been using limewire for the last 3 years and had no problem with viruses or other crap associated with some download sites. is napster also an ok download site too? Just wondering if any of you guys use it. Thanks

Napster is safe!!!! The only thing is that you have to pay .99 for an song. If I was you I would keep on using Limewire.

Well first of all, you can't attach a virus to an .mp3 file since it's not an executable file so if all you are downloading is music then whatever you use you will be safe.

ds, I'm guessing you haven't used Nappy since before it became legal 5 years ago?

Anyway, gangster's right about the .99 cents, which means it's no better then iTunes. And even with Napster's $12.95/month subscription service, some songs are still 99 cents. Also, iTunes sells music videos, TV shows, and movies as well.

But I say if you can get it all for free, go for it. Fight the power!
