Is it safe to take a fan out of a computer, connected to battery and spray water onto it while it's running? If it is, how about adding a little of soap or something?

Sure can! If it gets inside the fan motor you're likely to cause shorting, or at the very least corrosion, both of which aren't good if you want the fan to keep working. I wouldn't say it's "dangerous" per se if it's only running off a couple small batteries, more just that you're likely to ruin the fan.

Can I ask why you want to spray water on a running fan? Are you trying to make a mist device thingy, like something to cool a person off?

Thanks a lot!

I have a fan which is clogged with dirt that doesn't go with air. I though that little water shouldn't reach out to the motor.

It sounds like taking the fan out and cleaning it properly is required or possible installing a new fan.

Yes it is. But sometimes I get taken by curiosity to do something easy albeit a little risky.
