Sure its fine. BUT if you have the money, get at least 2gb. Because then windows stops using virtual memory, and uses the ram, but with 1gb ram, windows still uses VM
Never knew that. Windows stops using VM once you have 2GB+ RAM. Interesting. So doe shtat essentially speed up Windows, or just save disk space by not having to establish a page file?
But back on topic. One gigabyte of RAM is GOOD! Most PCs run anywhere from 256 to 512MB of RAM. So 1 gig is perfectly fine.
1gb is good for today's use. It's probably the standard for everyone now...at least almost everyone. 2gb is probably better, but you can always upgrade.
