Ipod nano today!

heyyy i just got my SHUFFLE today fedex'ed its Insane the thing is literally 1 inch big its unbelievable, size of a quarter pretty much if it were flattened out... its great, they also send me a happy birthday card which is real cool!

I've got a nano too, but it's the slightly older shiny black one, not quite as thin as yours is.
I pretty much just use it in my car for playing music as I have no cd deck, sometimes i take it to class/the library. Very cool i agree, I love mine.

congrats - you won't be dissappointed. I have had my 2nd gen mini for a few years now. Not one single problem ever.

noo my dads got a G5 Ive had the first gen Ipod for a few years, I have an Ibook, and i got mac stickers on my car. I love it!

I got a nano 2nd gen about a week or two ago (the blue one)
it just rocks, because it's so small, but very functional

Can it only play tunes purchased through iTunes, or can you rip your own CDs/mp3s?

Yeah, you can play your own things as well as Apple's lovely DRM'd music
